The structure of the cubby is great, I love the finish. It's heavy so I know its made well! However, the hooks...one of them arrived broken, two bent with the weight of a sweater and another broke under the weight of a kindergarten backpack. Before the rest of them could break (I bought 2 of these) we went down to the hardware store and bought hooks and replaced them all (cheap fix). My other complaint with this is the hooks on the back. The tabs do not seem strong at all. It actually allows the cabinet top to lean forward away from the screw in the wall. We definitely used anchors with these because they are heavy already. We will be replacing the hardware soon on the back too. And bins that fit these cubbies are not easy to find. I will be making my own.Im upset with the hardware quality, but the structure itself and the nice finish was a good buy.This was recommended by a close friend and we are thrilled about it. So easy to install. Very reasonably priced. Didn’t have to assemble anything. Simple to hang on the wall. Sturdy and looks fantastic. We hung it up next to our Peloton to put some exercise gear and cleaning supplies on. We love it!This is a well made product for the price. It is heavy and should last. Not all solid wood but again for the price it is better than most. I expect it will serve our three kids well for coats and back packs and whatever else for a long while.2 knocks against it.1. It is not pure white. It has a slight gray tint.2. It smells bad. It might be the paint. The smell is diminishing and will eventually hopefully go away. The smell is hard to explain but is kind of a chemical almost sulfuric smell.This product looks fairly nice, but doesn't feel as solid as I expected. Additionally, it was delivered with no instructions or hardware whatsoever. What should have taken 10 minutes to install on the wall, took an hour with all of the additional searching for screws, measuring, leveling, and drilling needed to make this work. Lastly, the hooks bend almost as easily as a standard wire hanger. I had to instruct my kids not to hang anything with any weight on them. I expect them to last about a week. Super disappointed in this product. Not likely to order this brand again.It's a good shelf. The finish is a bit more of an off-white with distressed edges. And the cubbies are not large enough for the standard canvas boxes - that's my fault, I must not have read the stats closely enough. All in all, it's not a bad purchase, it just wasn't what I expected.As usual, I bought something that did not fit into the intended area as I did not measure it correctly. However, it works great in our garage as storage and hangers for work clothes. Very sturdy, had to install with heavy duty hooks, but looks nice and is very handy.This shelf looks great in my son's room. It's quite large, big enough to hold his trophies, some books, picture frames, and able to hang things on the hooks. It definitely needs to be hung in a stud as it is quite heavy, but once it's on the wall, it looks great and holds a lot of stuff.The only reason I'm giving this three stars is because the color I received is MUCH darker than what is pictured. Mine is a VERY dark grey, not "ash." The quality is great and I received it on time. I am keeping it because it actually still worked in the space.Was hoping this was white like the picture but more of an ivory . Guess we will be painting it. Should be mentioned in description of item
