Fantastic, affordable solution that's both a real wood, rustic look, but with modern mounting brackets and a semi-hollow structure that reduces weight and load on the mount. Installer mounted with an additional wood hanger that compensate for AirStone fireplace installation. Still holding up fantastic after over a year of use above a hot wood stove installation. Can't recommend enough. Tons of options in product for any decor or design.Very nice look compared to the old bulky oak mantle it replaced. Very easy to install. We ordered the 66" Grey color and I love how you can still see the natural and beautiful wood grain lines. The mantel doesn't come with any instructions but it was simple enough of a mounting system for my husband to figure out. Due to size and weight (it's about 30 pounds), the mounting system is not strong enough - as the mantel does "sag" off the wall a little. We thought once we screwed in the bottom screws it would help "firm" it up but it did not. We will be buying some decorative bracket pieces to add under the mantel for added support and stability. Other than that, it's a sturdy, solid piece of wood.Unfortunately, 2 of the corners did get chipped (during shipping) but it's not bad enough to merit sending back. (Unless you're looking for it, you can barely notice).Long story short, I wish the company would use better packaging during shipments (the corner of the box was literally broken off and I could see the mantel inside the box) and I wish they would figure out a better mounting system so it's more sturdy and secure.The wood, however, is absolutely gorgeous and amazing craftsmanship went into shaping this!This mantel was exactly what we were looking for. It’s a great design for fastening to any type of wall, and I put the one we bought on old brick that had been faced with 8x24” decorative tile. After I found the right concrete/brick fasteners it was easy to mount and tight to the wall. Really good design for the mounting bracket.The color matched exactly as it was presented in Amazon. Highly recommended.Easy to install and looks amazing!My installer did it, but I could have done it myself. Nice system.This mantle took 10 minutes to install out of the box, looks awesome and really changes the appearance of my once boring fireplace. Highly recommend.Colour does not match description and photos. Stain on wood was uneven and comes off easily (one wipe with a wet rag and colour fades). Wood quality is heavy and solid along with the frame, but my piece had holes and gaps and cracks in multiple places. I was disappointed considering the money I paid. Poor overall quality control and workmanship.Comes in a bit rough, could use a little more sanding, and I had to varnish it myself but happy with my purchase.The piece is very sturdy and the color is a nice grey, but unfortunately it came damaged. I am returning it...
